Idex International associated Chair MARBLE – Natalie Stingelin

“Chaire Internationale Associée Multifunctional “Plastic”-Biobased ARchitectures for BioeLEctronics Applications (MARBLE) established in 2017 with the Excellence Initiative of the IdEX University of Bordeaux. The holder of the Chair is Prof. Natalie Stingelin a full professor of Material Science at the Georgia Institute of Technology (USA). MARBLE provides a new platform for interfacing functional materials and electronic devices with our body by answering fundamental questions about how soft functional materials interact with a biological environment, how ions are transported in polymeric systems (e.g., how molecular order, conformational arrangements and macroscopic properties affect ionic/electronic transport), how they can be rendered more biocompatible, and how smart, multifunctional interfaces can be created.
