Summary: The generation of ammonia through the Bosch-Harber process is one of the polluting and energy-consuming ones. The objective is therefore to identify photocatalysts absorbing in the UV-Vis region involving multi-photon excitation to generate reducing equivalents which will be released by a catalyst and used to reduce molecular nitrogen.
